Recast vs Copy.ai
Copy.ai has rebuilt itself around agents and workflows for marketing teams. The difference that will decide it for most people is the price ladder: theirs jumps from $24 to $211 with nothing in between.
Copy.ai is the stronger pick for a marketing team that wants one platform covering every channel — blog, email, ads, product copy — with a visual workflow builder and ten seats. Recast is the stronger pick if the job is publishing: a recording or a link in, a finished post and card out, into your CMS.
The gap between their two plans is $187
Chat is $24 a month and is a chat window with a model picker. Anything that produces work — Content Agent Studio, workflows, bulk — needs the Agents plan at $211 a month, billed $2,532 up front. There is no tier between them. Our whole ladder, $19 to $149, fits inside that gap. Read from their plan screen on 18 August 2026.
Starts from a recording, not a prompt
Paste a video, a podcast or a link and the draft comes back structured from what was actually said. Copy.ai starts from a brief you write, whichever agent you point at it.
It ends inside your CMS
WordPress, Ghost and Webflow, drafts by default, with the headline card already exported at every ratio. Copy.ai hands you the text and stops at the clipboard.

Which one is right for you
Copy.ai if you are a marketing team that needs one platform across every channel, wants to build workflows visually, and the $211 tier is inside your budget. Recast if the output is articles and cards that have to get published, and you would rather spend $49 than $211 to reach the features that do the work.

Recast vs Copy.ai, answered.
Two plans on their own upgrade screen, read 18 August 2026: Chat at $24 a month ($288 a year) for five seats and chat with OpenAI, Anthropic and Google models; Agents at $211 a month ($2,532 a year) for ten seats, 10,000 workflow credits and the Content Agent Studio. Monthly billing costs more — the prices above are the annual rate. Check before you buy; they change, and a comparison page is the last thing anybody updates.
Yes, and more so than its reputation suggests. It sells Blog Post, Email Campaign, Newsletter and Product Description agents. What has changed is the packaging: those are agents on a paid tier rather than templates in a free grid.
Both write competently. The difference is either side of the writing — where the draft comes from, and whether it can reach your site. Recast starts from a recording or a link and finishes in your CMS with the card made.
Easily, and some teams should. Copy.ai for campaigns and email, Recast for turning what you record into what you publish. They overlap on the writing and nowhere else.
Try it against your own work.
A comparison page is somebody's opinion. Paste one of your own links or videos and see what comes back — it needs no account.
