Do you upload my image?
No. The eraser runs entirely in your browser, so the file never leaves your device. That is also why there is no queue and no size limit on the free tool.
Is it legal to remove a watermark?
It depends on the image. Removing a mark from your own work, licensed material, or content you have permission to edit is fine. Removing one to use an image you have no rights to is not — a watermark coming off does not grant you the rights.
Can it remove a watermark without losing quality?
The area you brush is rebuilt from the pixels around it and the rest of the image is untouched, so there is no quality loss anywhere you did not paint. Corner logos, text and date stamps come out cleanest; a mark across a busy centre of the photo is the hardest case.

Can AI really remove a watermark from an image?
Yes — that is what is happening here. Rather than smudging the mark, the tool reconstructs the part of the photo it was covering, generating detail that matches the surroundings. It is strongest on logos, text and stamps over a fairly even background, and works hard on busier areas too.
How do I remove someone from a group photo?
Brush over the person the same way you would a watermark, covering their whole outline, and remove. The background where they stood is rebuilt from what is around them. A person standing against a plain wall or sky comes out cleanest.
Does it work on a screenshot or a scanned document?
Yes. A screenshot, a scan, a product photo or a still from a video are all just images to the tool — drop any of them in and brush out the mark, logo or text you want gone.
Will removing the watermark shrink or compress my photo?
No. Only the area you paint is changed; every other pixel is left exactly as it came in, and the export is a full-resolution PNG. There is no downscaling to a preview size.
What is the best way to remove a stubborn watermark?
Cover the entire mark with the brush — including its faint edges — rather than just the solid centre, and leave a small margin around it. A watermark spread across a detailed part of the photo is the hard case; brushing it in a couple of passes usually gives the cleanest result.
