Comparison

Recast vs Jasper

Jasper writes. Recast writes and then does the parts that come after — the card, the schedule, the CMS. The pricing model is the clearest difference: theirs is per seat, ours is per plan.

At a glance

Jasper is the stronger pick for a marketing team that needs a general-purpose writing assistant across many formats, with brand voice governance and enterprise controls. Recast is the stronger pick if your output is articles and posts that need to be published, and if adding a second person should not double the bill.

One plan covers the workspace, not one seat

Jasper is $69 per seat per month ($59 annual). A third person there is another $69; here a plan covers the workspace and its seats. Read from their pricing page on 16 August 2026.

Starts from a recording, not a blank prompt

Paste a video, a podcast or a link and the draft comes back structured. There is no prompt to get right, because the source is the brief.

It publishes to three CMS platforms

WordPress, Ghost and Webflow, drafts by default, with a queue and approvals that hold a draft until an owner releases it. Jasper hands you text and stops.

Questions

Recast vs Jasper, answered.

For publishing work, yes. For the wider marketing-copy job Jasper does — ad variants, email sequences, campaign copy — it is not a like-for-like swap, and we would rather say so than pretend.

$69 per seat per month, or about $59 billed annually, read from their pricing page on 16 August 2026. Their Business tier is quote-only.

Not yet, and Jasper does — this is a straightforward gap. Brand kits carry the visual identity (colours, typefaces, logo marks, byline, footer) and drafts follow the phrasing of whatever source you gave them, but there is no trained voice profile. Brand Voice is a declared tool in build.

Try it against your own work.

A comparison page is somebody's opinion. Paste one of your own links or videos and see what comes back — it needs no account.
