Describe the video
What happens and what the viewer gets. "I swapped my road bike for a cargo bike for a month" is a title waiting to happen; "bike video" is not.

Green is under 60. Red is over and will be cut. Pick, copy, and put the best one on the thumbnail test.
A YouTube title has one job and a hard limit: make the click, in under about 60 characters, because that is where search results and the mobile feed cut it. The first three words carry almost all of the work, which is why "How I…" and "I tried…" are everywhere — they front-load the subject.
The temptation is to shout. ALL CAPS, three emojis and "(GONE WRONG)" buy a click and cost the trust that brings the second one. These titles are written to front-load and to stay honest: no invented result, no number the video does not show, one emoji at most and only if the video is light.
YouTube Title Generator, answered.
Up to 100 characters, but search results and mobile cut at roughly 60 to 70. Anything past that is invisible to most of the people deciding whether to click, so the tool treats 60 as the line.
A title that promises what the video delivers gets the click and keeps the viewer. One that overpromises gets the click and a fast exit, which YouTube reads as a bad video. The titles here are written to front-load, not to shout.
Anything over 70 characters is removed — that is cut on every surface. 60 to 70 is shown in red so you can decide.
Only what you tell it in the style field. "Calm, practical, no hype" changes the shape of the titles a lot; leaving it empty gives you the general-purpose set.

This is one job. The workspace does the rest.
The free tools stay free and stay ungated. Recast is where they stop being separate tabs and start handing work to each other — a link becomes a card, an article and a week of posts without you moving anything between them.
